Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of smartcask.app and the SmartCask™ platform, provided by Checkpoint and powered by SmartLinks Technology. Platform subscriptions are also governed by your signed commercial agreement, which takes priority if the two differ.

Website content is for general information. Pricing, features and specifications shown are indicative and may change; your order or agreement sets out what you receive.

You are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity under your account. Do not attempt to access data that does not belong to you or interfere with the service.

You own the cask, fill and ownership records you add. You grant us the rights needed to host and process them to deliver the service. See our Privacy Policy.

SmartCask tags must be fitted and used as instructed. Warranty and replacement terms are set out in your agreement.

SmartCask helps you keep records for HMRC and Scotch Whisky Regulations, but you remain responsible for your own regulatory filings.

SmartCask™, the SmartCask logo and platform software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or resell them without permission.

Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability is limited as set out in your agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website.

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
